Geothermal network GeoCLIMANET

The GeoCLIMANET geothermal network consists of three stations in the Czech Republic (Prague, Kocelovice, Svojšice) and one station each in Portugal (Evora-Caravelinha) and Slovenia (Malence). At all stations, the air temperature and soil temperature are monitored at different depth levels between the surface and a depth of 1 m. With the exception of Svojšice, the temperature of the bedrock is also measured to a depth of 40 to 190 m. At each locality, temperature and other parameters are monitored automatically and measured data are either transferred online to a desktop computer or stored in registration units and periodically downloaded directly in terrain. The measured data are used to study the coupling between air and soil temperature and heat transfer between the surface and the bedrock in different climatic, soil and environmental conditions.
